Terms & Conditions of Service
Please review these terms governing ticket purchases, event hosting, festival stall reservations, promoter commissions, and venue admissions on Eldoret Sherehe.
1 Acceptance of Terms & Platform Scope
Welcome to Eldoret Sherehe (eldoretsherehe.com), operated and powered by AlphaBridge Plus. By accessing our web application, browsing events, purchasing tickets, booking festival stalls, applying as a vendor, or promoting events as a campus influencer, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws of the Republic of Kenya.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must refrain from using the platform and purchasing tickets through our payment gateways.
2 Ticket Purchases & Safaricom M-Pesa STK Push
Ticket orders are initiated via an automated Safaricom M-Pesa Daraja STK Push prompt dispatched to your mobile handset. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you enter the correct Safaricom phone number and that your handset is authorized to authorize the transaction.
- Once your PIN is entered and Safaricom confirms the receipt, your order reference (e.g.,
ORD-XXXXX) and encrypted pass codes are generated immediately. - Your official passes are delivered via SMS text message with a direct secure PDF download link, as well as attached to the email address provided during checkout.
- If an STK push is cancelled, timed out, or rejected due to insufficient M-Pesa balance, the ticket reservation is released back to general inventory.
3 Strict No-Refund & Postponement Policy
All ticket sales are final. We do not issue cash refunds, chargebacks, or ticket tier exchanges for buyer change of mind, personal scheduling conflicts, failure to attend, or adverse weather conditions.
- Event Postponement: If an event is rescheduled to a new date or venue within Eldoret, your original ticket pass and QR code remain 100% valid for the rescheduled session.
- Event Cancellation: In the rare instance an event is cancelled outright with no alternative date, refund liability rests with the designated Event Organizer in accordance with the payout agreement.
4 QR Code Security, Verification & Anti-Passback
Each ticket issued contains a cryptographically hashed QR code and a unique 5-character alphanumeric serial code.
- Single-Entry Admission: When scanned at the gate scanner, the ticket is marked as
usedin real-time. Any subsequent attempt to present the same QR code will trigger a red "ALREADY USED" violation banner. - Anti-Passback Defense: Passing a scanned ticket to another attendee outside the gate is strictly prohibited. Gate stewards reserve the right to confiscate duplicate passes and deny entry.
- Ticket Safeguarding: Do not post screenshots of your un-scanned QR code or serial numbers on public social media (TikTok, Instagram, WhatsApp status), as third parties may scan your code before your arrival.
5 Event Organizer Obligations & Pay-As-You-Go Credits
Organizers hosting events on Eldoret Sherehe operate under our transparent pay-as-you-go credit architecture:
- Organizers maintain an active platform credit wallet. Credits are deducted per ticket sold online or via the Box Office cash sales console.
- Ticket revenue can be routed to the organizer's verified M-Pesa Till or Paybill number via automated Daraja B2C/C2B settlement.
- Organizers are solely responsible for acquiring relevant licenses (e.g., Uasin Gishu County government outdoor event permits, MCSK, PRISK, and police clearances).
6 Festival Stall Bookings & Exhibitor Regulations
Vendors reserving food booths, bar spaces, or artisan stalls via the Stall Booking portal (/stalls) must adhere to the following:
- Stall reservations secured via upfront lock deposits must clear the remaining balance before the specified setup deadline. Unsettled spaces may be released back to the waitlist with deposit forfeiture.
- Food and beverage vendors must comply with public health hygiene standards and county food handler certificates.
7 Promoter Affiliate Program & Commissions
Registered campus promoters and brand ambassadors earn commissions on verified ticket sales routed through their custom promo codes or tracking links:
- Commissions are accrued only on successfully settled M-Pesa orders. Cancelled, fraudulent, or refunded purchases carry zero commission.
- Promoters must not engage in deceptive advertising, unsolicited spam messaging, or impersonating event hosts.
- Promoter payout invoices are settled via direct M-Pesa transfer according to organizer agreement schedules.
8 Venue Admissions & Gate Security Rules
Right of admission is strictly reserved by event venue security. Holding a valid digital ticket does not supersede venue security protocols:
- Attendees must comply with security body searches, bag inspections, and age verification checks (National ID / Passport required for 18+ events).
- Prohibited items (weapons, illegal substances, outside glass bottles, fireworks) will be confiscated with immediate expulsion.
9 Limitation of Liability & Force Majeure
Eldoret Sherehe and AlphaBridge Plus act as the technology and ticketing conduit. To the maximum extent permitted under Kenyan law, the platform is not liable for personal injuries, lost property, vehicle damage at venue parking, or artist lineup changes made by third-party organizers.
Neither party shall be liable for delays or non-performance resulting from Acts of God, civil unrest, telecommunications outages, Safaricom Daraja scheduled downtimes, or emergency county health directives.
10 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of Kenya. Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Kenya located in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
